Who We Are

An agribusiness partner rooted in the community

We work with smallholder farmers in Nakigo Sub-county and the wider Iganga District to increase production and productivity, reduce post-harvest losses, and connect farmers to better markets โ€” both local and export.

Our mission is to turn small-scale farming into profitable farming businesses. We believe farmers deserve fair prices, reliable inputs and a market they can trust โ€” without middlemen exploitation.

Mission

Profitable farming, one village at a time

To turn small-scale farming into profitable farming businesses by training farmers, bulking their produce, and linking them directly to fair, reliable markets.

Vision

A farmer-centred supply chain

To build a farmer-centred supply chain where every smallholder in the Greater Iganga District can produce, sell and earn profitably โ€” without middlemen exploitation.

What We Do

Four pillars of support for every farmer

Training farmers on agronomic practices in Iganga
01

Agricultural Production & Extension

We reach farmers through a network of 18 village agents embedded in the community. Agents train farmers on good agronomic practices for maize, bananas, coffee, cocoa, soy bean, rice and animal husbandry, and promote climate-smart farming to improve yields and soil health.

02

Maize, Coffee & Cocoa Bulking

We mobilise farmers to bulk their crop after harvest through farmer groups and village agents. Bulking reduces transport costs, improves quality control, and gives farmers collective bargaining power with schools, traders, millers and processors at fair prices.

Quality inputs supplied to farmers on commission
03

Input Supply on Commission

Our village agents supply quality inputs โ€” seed, fertiliser, pesticides โ€” to farmers on a commission basis. This makes inputs accessible at village level, reduces the risk of fake products, and lets farmers pay cash or after harvest where agreed.

Value Addition

We process and package maize and other produce into flour, animal feed and other products โ€” increasing farmer income and reducing losses that come from poor storage.

Our Model

Our Impact

What the model has achieved

โœ“

Increased farmer yields through training and timely input access.

โœ“

Reduced post-harvest losses through proper bulking and storage.

โœ“

Better prices for farmers through collective marketing power.

โœ“

Job creation for youth and women serving as village agents.

Looking Ahead

Our 2026โ€“2028 growth plan

Building on the village agent network to deepen coffee and cocoa production, strengthen farmer financing, and grow a self-sustaining, farmer-owned cooperative.

๐ŸŒฑ

Use village agents to identify more farmers with land under matoke or idle land suitable for coffee and cocoa.

๐Ÿ“š

Train village agents on cocoa and coffee nursery management, planting, shade management, pruning, pest and disease control, and post-harvest handling.

๐Ÿค

Partner with other stakeholders to strengthen cocoa and coffee production, and start primary processing.

๐ŸŒ

Link with exporters such as Kyagalanyi, Ugacof and Olam, who pay premium prices for bulked, quality cocoa and coffee.

๐Ÿญ

Organise sub-county level bulking centres for coffee and dried cocoa beans, with a long-term view to local roasting and packaging under our own brand.

๐Ÿ’ผ

Turn top agents into mini agro-dealers with credit lines, performance targets and higher commission โ€” plus bonuses tied to farmer yield outcomes.

๐Ÿ“ฑ

Adopt mobile money and USSD for input credit and payments, reducing cash handling and defaults.

๐Ÿฆ

Link with SACCOs and banks for warehouse receipt financing, so farmers can access 60โ€“70% of value upfront.

๐Ÿ“œ

Pursue certification with UNBS, the Uganda Warehouse Regulatory Authority and other relevant bodies.

๐Ÿ›๏ธ

Establish a farmer-owned cooperative under commercial management โ€” building trust and unlocking bigger contracts.
